It's a bowl! It's a plate! It's both!
Using the last of my leftover Speckled Buff scraps, I threw this last night: an integrated dip bowl and plate. Its design is based on one I did a few years ago: see the June, 2007 entry. I think this one may be structurally compromised: I wedged it a bit before throwing, but I could feel lumps that may have been bubbles (scored them, but not sure they're gone) or impurities in the clay. We'll see.

Easy come, easy go. Or hard-come, easy-go, as the case may be. This creation is no more-- alas! The bottom was too thin and I cut right through it while trimming the footing. Sigh.
