mudjoy

Where there is mud, is there not also joy? I, for one, say Yes. I count myself among the creative sort and I count clay among my most favorite creative mediums (and I have lots of faves). What could be more exhilarating than to take a shapeless lump of clay and, using your hands and simple tools, transform it into an expression of your inner self? Have wheel, will throw. it's like Christmas!

The joy of taking finished pieces from the kiln is a lot like getting gifts at Christmas. And, of course, when I originally posted this, it nearly was Christmas.
